Whenever you buy a smartphone must consider operating system version you have, and if the company that manufactures it often release updates for this. Today Samsung has released a new update for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 . A priori it might not seem important, and it is not too much, except for the fact that they will postpone a major update until fall.
A new update is available in Europe for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 , which improves the stability of the terminal. The update has Android version 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, so there will be no news on what the operating system is concerned, with the same basis functions than previous firmware versions available that have been installed on the terminal. However, it is always good to be able to update the smartphone to improve stability.
Not so good is the news that derive from this. And, if now released stability update Jelly Bean Android 4.1.2 for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 , that means you will not get the new update to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean up within a few months, having been postponed launch. This latest update should arrive in the fall, so we can expect in the months of September and October, and probably before the announcement of the new Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
The update should be available OTA, so you only need to go to Settings> About phone> Software Update and check for new updates. If not, it would be good to check if new updates are available on Samsung Kies, as sometimes tend to be active earlier in Samsung servers that are accessed from the computer program that from the smartphone itself.
