Goophone N2 clone analysis Galaxy Note 2 - Paperblog

Goophone N2

Seeing what you liked my analysis of Google Nexus 4, back attack with another smartphone, but this time a little less seen

Goophone, brand “famous” for clones do iPhone models, now ventures into this model “inspired” by the Samsung Galaxy Note II Will match it in quality and performance? Let’s try to find out.

started by the hardware: the Goophone N2 has a processor inside 4 cores at 1.2GHz , accompanied by 1GB of RAM and 4GB of storage internal (expandable with microSD). But also your screen is 5.8 “ with a resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels compatible with the optical pointer with the phone (but not of type SuperAmoled like Samsung). Curiously, the Goophone has something that does not incorporate Note 2: Dual-SIM (you can put two SIM cards 2 operator, for example). The N2 Goophone also incorporates a rear camera of 8 megapixels and a 2 megapixel front , that although they share the resolution with Note 2, do not have the same sensor and the same quality.

All this is included in a phone that is 9.7mm thick and 160 grams and measures 149.6 x 10.2 x 78 mm (with 3200 mAh battery ) included.

As you can see, the technical features of the phone (well, more than a phone is a “phablet” in all rule) are nothing bad, just a little below what is your “inspiration.

operating system, as could not be otherwise, use Android , version 4.1 Jelly Bean (currently not yet available to upgrade to 4.2 ) without any modification (Android is a “pure”). Usage is good, with the possibility of having multiple applications open at the same time (even graphically demanding games) without noticeable slowdowns terminal.

only downers, you could find a couple of points:

– A very slight delay when typing (the keyboard is the Android standard) but without being annoying. Maybe I’m too used to the physical keyboard of my blackberry, something good has to have.

– Screen quality. Samsung screens, but too “colorful” generally have a very high quality and I think the Goophone N2 is a notch below.

And now comes the best part: while the price of the Samsung Galaxy Note II is above 500 euros, this GooPhone N2 is priced ……. € 190!

Yes, I repeat it again if you have not understood well: € 190

sure you might be wondering if that HUGE price difference is noted in the materials. For the truth is that NO. It’s like the technical side, the finishes are somewhat worse than the original, but the Goophone “gives the hit”. If you are not very observant, you can go through a Note II perfectly.

My other question, and sure a lot of you also, is as worn on a phone of this size. Obviously, carrying in front pants pocket possible, with many opportunities to make the joke “happy to see me or bring a Goophone in your pocket”, but the size is right on the limit of portability. The aggravating is that no cases for this phone, since the size is slightly different from the Note II and covers the Samsung not adapt.

conclusion? It’s a phone with a price / quality to match. If it is true that the Note II is more powerful, with better camera and, draining much better finish, but what justifies a price three times higher? I have my doubts ….

greeting

PD. I want to thank David for the assignment of unit testing.
