José Bonifacio Sanchez, mayor of the Vera Jaraíz shows their dedication, commitment and work for traditional August holidays still celebrated in style. Each year, organizes a variety of recreational, cultural and sporting activities for everyone from children to grandparents, can go out and enjoy. They are a party to which many migrants come because Jaraíz is a very friendly town and enjoys great tourist attraction. Its natural swimming pools, parks and rest areas are a hit with visitors.
Every afternoon Jaraíz citizens can participate in several events, as despite being in August when the holidays officially begin, “since last July 28 and started their activities with cultural fortnight,” said the mayor. Many associations and neighbors who helped to organize a day of very long holiday, “the council together with associations and enable neighboring fairs and pepper snuff held in style,” said Bonifacio Sánchez. “All are own resources by the council.” These days the world of bullfighting has a big impact. During the five days of public holidays shall be the release of a heifer and a bull goaded the style of Vera. “We bulls during the morning and afternoon where an activity is created for people to move and run through the town celebrating our festivals,” he says. Another special feature is the competition for farmers where they present their crops snuff and pepper before a jury, “are festivals dedicated to traditional crops in our town, the snuff and pepper,” said the mayor.
As for the crisis, Sanchez believes that the city is aware of the problems in recent years, but said that “we must make a firm commitment that the parties remain”. “We have not let that stop to notice the crisis,” he said. The only cut that is seen in this 2014 program is that Jaraíz has opted for three days instead of four bulls. Although not all cuts as mayor this year says neighbors have enjoyed a cultural fortnight rather than a week as in previous years. “They are dear to our people now enjoy, share our time and have a great time.”
