Marshmallow Android 6.0 installed on your Galaxy Note 2 – Androidphoria (blog)

There was a time when Samsung, despite not do things as well as now (with the Galaxy S7 has proven to be the height), remained at the forefront with its mobile plastic. One of those phones that still have to remember (and that many people use) is the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 . Some time ago we showed you how to install Marshmallow in Note 2, but now comes the most awaited version for all CM 13 for the Note 2.

This terminal has been long time no official updates from Samsung but now, thanks to CyanogenMod, you can install Android 6.0 Marshmallow on it and have a mobile perfectly usable. It is worth remembering that is also available Android 6.0 Marshmallow on the Galaxy S2 and the truth is that since we have tried our Galaxy S2 seems to have come to life.

the truth is that the process to install Android 6.0 Marshmallow the Galaxy Note 2 is very simple, consisting of flash the ROM CyanogenMod 13. Obviously we will lose the TouchWiz Samsung but by then was a bit “bad” and it would be rare that echases of less.

Thanks to this ROM can give a second chance to your old phablet although some will still be updated to Ice Cream Sandwich and is enjoying it without any problem. ROM CM13 for the Galaxy Note 2 occupies about 256 MB and serves for International variant of the terminal and also for the variant US, yes, be careful when choosing the ROM on the download page.

then we will tell you what you need to install the ROM and will attach you all the links pointing to downloads:

  • need a custom recovery to flash the ROM (sometimes some give errors), it is best to install the TWRP in its latest version.
  • once you have it you will have to download the ROM CM13 that corresponds to your version terminal from this link.
  • from this other link you can download the gapps necessary to have Google Play on your Note 2 Marshmallow.

WARNING : Remember that in this case we speak of a stable version of CyanogenMod 13 but a version nightly that can contain errors and potentially unstable. It is a necessary warning though so we understand the ROM is fully working (the Galaxy S2 also works correctly and more time it has launched ago).

We also remind users that we are not responsible of what might happen in their terminals. Sometimes errors occur flashing terminals and these are very difficult to solve bricks. Obviously many people rootea your device and install a different ROM without any problem but if you have no experience in the process will not recommend changing the ROM of your terminal because if you do something you could leave the useless phone
