The second kit Rift Oculus screen uses Samsung Note 3 – Europe Press

The second development kit augmented reality glasses Oculus Rift, owned by Facebook, incorporate screen Samsung Note 3 , a new higher resolution display than the first kit, according to the website Engadget .

The display of these new Oculus Rift is AMOLED, 5.7-inch and with a resolution of 960 x 1080 in each eye . The refresh rate is 75 Hz The following YouTube video from iFixit shows these and other specifications of the new development kit

When the glasses are removed you can see the screen perfectly Note 3 .

In May we learned

that Samsung Oculus VR and we were working on another device -the virtual reality ” Gear VR “- which Oculus is creating the ‘software’, while Samsung is creating the ‘hardware’

That second screen new development kit is the Rift Oculus of the Samsung Note 3. suggests that this is a point association of the two companies.
