We compare the Galaxy Note 3 on the Xperia Z Ultra - Android Faqs

Note 3 will

are few phones with which to compare it. We started with the Note 2, then with the iPhone 5S, later with the S4 and now it is the turn to a Japanese phablet, the Sony Xperia Z Ultra. If you want to see some of the other comparative pass wet by that section.

is the new device from Samsung is creating a very high expectation, especially for its price drop, that in 15 days around 150 euros as I commented recently on the blog.

Sony has created a hybrid really striking with the Xperia Z Ultra, since this is the closest to merge mobile and tablet without ever clearly the latter.

compared the Galaxy Note 3 on the Xperia Z Ultra

    Quality materials

    It’s almost a rite

mentioning that Samsung does not have the best high-end materials but it turns out that is something remarkable, especially when faced with a Sony or an iPhone.

    Note 3

improved materials Note 2 that were really being generous midrange, and has introduced some aspects that we liked. However in its high-end Sony probably has the best finishes on Android with permission of HTC One

    So

no doubt that the design and quality of the Sony is much larger than the Samsung but there is a price to pay and it’s something you may not like a lot of users.

    Weight and Dimensions

    Weight and dimensions

entered the part where loosely Samsung wins. The Sony is a phablet of 212 grams and has a screen of 6.4 “so it’s really hard to carry in your pocket easily.

The phablet Samsung has improved the weight of its predecessor, staying at 168 grams and has not increased its size although it has increased its screen.

Thus Samsung is clearly the winner, taking its toll on Japanese mobile finish by the materials used, as we assume that the glass double finish is really heavier than plastic Korean mobile.

    class=”GTTabs_divs” Benefits

    Power

    Power

The power of these two phones is comparable, much more than what we saw when we compared the S4 or the Note 2 Note 3. Both carry a quad-core Snapdragon processor 800 , 2.3 GHz in Note 3 to 2.2 GHz in the Xperia Z Ultra.

RAM is 3 GB in the Samsung mobile and 2 GB on Sony main difference being the testing we’ve done on when to yield.

benchmarks the figures you can see in the video but are really like, keeping in mind that it is something to take with relativity, since it is possible to fool these processes.

Note that increasing RAM Note 3 takes the interface and in that sense the Sony seems to more fluid , although it may be a matter of perception rather than real.

    screen

    Display

screens is another point to look good in the video. of Note 3 is brighter and more saturated colors shows a and while blue tends less to other Samsung AMOLED like the Galaxy S4 as we put together than the Sony we realize that still does .

    However

to have the same resolution and smaller screen sharpness in Note 3 is greater, but not something to call attention as it did with the S4, with both figures above 326 ppi iPhone seems to be the reference in this regard.

The winner in this sense is tricky as it depends on the uses. On the outside, for example Sony performs better than the Samsung but prefer indoor Note screen.

    Camera

    House

The cameras are other strengths of these phones if not stand out as others (iPhone 5S, Lumia 1020 …). The objectives that supply more than worthy daily use and replace a compact camera, but it would be mobile to choose whether we want one with the best camera possible.

Something not usually like a lot is the processing that makes Sony camera when taking a picture, and it is something that has to do with the sensor as this company is a major supplier to other brands (like Apple ) not having that problem. It is seen in the example we had in the video analysis.

    Range

    Autonomy

The two phones are equal in this regard as normal. Two phablets with large battery capacity, but the Sony has a tool that brings Samsung mobile serial no: Stamina Mode .

Japanese company option does is disable some phone functions when at rest, which flatter in a somewhat artificial but effective battery. The best thing is that we who can choose which apps are left in the background wasting battery which only have access to it when we have the screen on and therefore we are using the phablet.

    Here wins Sony .

    Interface

    Interface

Both phones have different versions of Android Jelly Bean, the Xperia Z 4.2.2 Ultra and 4.3 in Note 3. But this is irrelevant as long as their interfaces have been highly customized by the manufacturers with some additions.

Overall we liked much of Sony, which seems to require fewer resources and is clearly much more aesthetic and elegant than Samsung. However that does not mean it is more useful for what we wanted to highlight the strong points of each.

    interface for Sony:

    Customizing

    • topics.
    • Battery Stamina Mode.
    • Application of the gallery.
    • Using PlayStation controls.

    for Samsung interface:

    • management and integration of S Pen.
    • mobile sensors control without touching it.
    • multitasking and multi-window.

difficult choosing one over the other and is one of the points where the use that each person will prefer one or the other.

    Differences

    Distinctive aspects

one aspect of each of the terminals to be highlighted on the other clearly.

Both allow the use of a stylus or pen to use the interface but while the Sony can use any pen or pointed object Samsung agrees to use the one built. However in this aspect is much more reliable Samsung and has many more options in its interface, being clearly better than the Z Ultra.

    Conversely

the strength of Sony is its resistance to dust and water because it allows a much more relaxed in places like the beach or the pool without fear that a slight dip ruin the device.

    class=”GTTabs_divs” Conclusion

Best of Sony Xperia Z Ultra

Best of Sony Xperia Z Ultra

    Xperia Z

Ultra is a mobile that stands out for its huge screen, more along the lines of that of smartphones tablets. The quality of the interface and is far superior to that of Samsung. In addition, the added dust and water resistance makes operation more relaxed in some situations.

Best of Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Best of Samsung Galaxy Note 3

We have said on occasion. The Note 3 highlights for its stylus and multitasking management that incorporates TouchWiz. Not only for the multi-window but the new function we can use floating windows with the stylus. It is also much more convenient to use and transport than the Xperia.

    Conclusion

At first the price difference of almost 200 euros could have tipped the balance towards the Sony but after a big drop in price Note, getting about 50 euros more expensive than the other device have to say that among the two, together, we prefer the Samsung mobile.

    However

have to consider certain aspects that may tip the balance the other model, such as screen visibility outdoors, resistance to liquid or much more elegant interface.
