Samsung Electronics could present his new “phablet” (phone more than 5 inch) Galaxy Note 5 and an enlarged version of its “smartphone” the S6 Edge August 13 in New York, as suggested invitations sent today to the media in Seoul.
The invitation to several media present in the South Korean capital announced the “Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2015″ event which will take place on August 13 at the New York Lincoln Center, and attached a photograph with curved shapes evoking the design of the Galaxy S6 Edge.
This strategy was used by Samsung in the past to awaken interest before the next presentation of its flagship products, such as “smartphones” Galaxy S5 and S6 in 2014 and 2015 respectively.
South Korean Experts interpret the new invitation refers to the presentation of the “phablet” Galaxy Note 5 and S6 EDGE +, the enlarged version of the S6 Edge a “smartphone” which was well received among consumers for its design with curved edges.
Samsung recently filed a patent for a model with the name S6 EDGE + , but so far kept silent about this potential new model.
As for the Galaxy Note 5, in principle submission expected for September at IFA Berlin, the largest technology fair in the world, but South Korean analysts believe will be advanced to August 13 in New York.
Some experts believe that Note 5 could present a bigger screen of 5.9 inches instead of 5.7 inches of its predecessor and improve the performance of the “S Pen”, the digital pen that the next model could shed with a voice command.
The success or failure of the new “phablet” is considered important in the future Samsung medium term, which was surpassed in high-end Apple and its sales in the low and mid range fell by strong competition from Chinese manufacturers. (EFE)
