The Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 A Android 5.0 is update … – Channel News

The first phablet Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 can now be upgraded to Android 5.0 Lollipop through its ROM.

XDA Developer developed a custom ROM CyanogenMod l series CM12 version NightOwl. Android programmers with user names and DroidTwe4kz TouchLeclouds also contributed to the custom ROM.

The custom ROM 259.1MB is based on those of PSE (Android Open Source Project) 5.0.1 Lollipop. This is an experimental ROM so some errors may occur.

Before updating the device, users must check the model of your phone by clicking Settings and selecting About phone. The update is only for the Note GT-N7000 and may harm other models if not properly controlled.

Preparation

The user must have a full backup through a CWM or TWRP data should your phone before you start. Start by activating the USB debugging mode, click Settings, select Options Designer.

PROCEDURE

Step 1. The user must download CyanogenMod 12 Android 5.0 ROM and Google Apps.

Step 2. Connect the Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 with the PC USB cable and mount the USB data mass storage.

Step 3. Transfer the file CM12 Android 5.0 ROM .zip to the root folder of the microSD card into the device.

Step 4. The user must disconnect the Galaxy Note N7000 PC and off to boot into recovery mode. During the CWM recovery mode, performs a set of complete and clean data the task by clicking Wipe Data / Factory Reset.

Step 5. Perform Wipe Cache Partition and wait for the process there are over . After that the user must go to Advanced and select Wipe Dalvik Cache to perform Wipe Dalvik Cache.

Step 6. Progresa to main menu and select Install recovery from SD card. Click Choose ZIP from SD card and select the ROM .zip file CM12. On the next screen, simply confirms the installation of the ROM.

Step 7. Repeat the steps to install Google Apps.

Step 8. After installing the ROM and applications, go to “+++++ Go Back +++++” and select reboot system now in recovery menu.

Step 9. Restart the phone will start and the first process may take five minutes.

Once the reset is done, the user will have successfully updated your Samsung Galaxy Note (GT-N7000) to the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop through CM12 Custom ROM.
