“Although it’s not noticeable, I have hot blood,” says Antoine Griezmann, the star of the selection of France and Atletico Madrid, in an interview in the magazine of the newspaper “L’équipe” in which he criticizes the lack of attitude of the new generations.
The French striker, 25 years old, says that she hates the lack of desire, and points out that his character has been forged with the teachings, among others, the uruguayan Martin Lasarte at the Royal Society and the argentine Diego Simeone in his current team.
Lasarte “helped me a lot to grow”, stated the player, who despite his usual smile claimed his ability to be addressed with the referees or with other players, or to ask the public to support them stronger.
“sometimes in the Athletic I reach children a little lazy. Would you say that you don’t even have the urge to train. That pisses me off”, pointing Griezmann, for whom “some believe they have already achieved all of nothing more to reach.”
The player says homey and quiet, and supports that the professional commitments outside of the field sometimes cost.
“When you play big matches every three days, you feel like rest. Especially when you lose. The other day I had a five-hour session for Gillette, three hours to Beats…” says Griezmann, who despite everything he says he always tries “to be in a good mood and present”.
Among the concessions made about his private life is his good friendship with south american players like the uruguayan Carlos Bueno, with whom he coincided in the Real, his penchant for t-shirts of other football players or NBA players, and his taste for the chanting of the swollen.
“I love, be where you are. I’m often on Youtube to listen to them. (…) At home, I cannot stop resumed these. Sometimes I sleep to my daughter, Mia, with the song of the Athletic ‘Olé Olé Cholo Simeone’”, he says in this extensive interview, in which he confesses also that David Beckham has been and still is their idol.
