A flight delay in the united States because someone created a network … – Gizmodo in Spanish

The Galaxy Note 7 has not only died but that the biggest airlines in the world have banned on board aircraft as a security risk. This is something that is taken so seriously that a flight in the city of San Francisco was delayed under the suspicion that there was a Note 7 on board.

But the reality was another. A prankster wanted to see what happened if you called the hotspot WiFi mobile phone "Galaxy Note 7_1097". Apparently the members of the crew became aware of the existence of this WiFi network and sent word to the captain of the aircraft, who decided to call the attention of the passengers to the appearance of the device in question. The plane was about to be returned to earth.

Lucas Wojciechowski was one of the passengers of the plane and narrated the events minute by minute, after you check in your laptop that actually had a WiFi network called "Galaxy Note 7".

After about an hour of flying carried out an ad: "if someone has a Galaxy Note 7, please press the button to call the flight attendant".

15 minutes later: "This is not a joke. We’re going to turn on the lights (11:00pm) and search the luggage of all the passengers until we find him".

Apparently the plane will be diverted and will start searching if no one confesses soon.

"Not if you have been diverted to 03:00am, but let me tell you that is a terrible thing. There is nothing open in the airport. Nothing."

"Ladies and gentlemen, we found the device. Fortunately this was only a device called "Galaxy Note 7", but was not one of those terminals."

(The lights go off, end of scene).

The flight came later to their destination in the city of Boston and the culprit of the joke had a conversation with the authorities. The moral is easy to understand: don’t play with these things. The pilots nor the authorities understand jokes when these relate to the safety of aircraft and their passengers. [via BBC]
