Samsung has not been able to recreate the problem on the Galaxy Note 7: ‘NYT’ – CNET in Spanish

The Galaxy Note 7 was involved in more than 100 cases of explosions, but Samsung has not been able to recreate the explosion of a battery to conduct investigations.

according To a report from The New York Times, the giant south Korean said “hundreds” of employees that try to reproduce the error that had caused the battery to explode, but none was successful.

The tests were carried out from August, the report says, because since then there are reports of explosions involving the Galaxy Note 7. Samsung gave its engineers a deadline to find the problem, and these reported that the problem was in the battery, it adds the Times.

After the prompt, and forced conjectures, Samsung decided to make a retreat of Note 7, affecting 2.5 million units. Users that already had a unit, they were handed a new phone, Note 7 with a battery of other manufacturer, the report says.

As Samsung still does not identify the root of the problem, the giant had no other more than to withdraw from the market the Galaxy Note 7 full and final form. The second retreat began this week and was official as of October 11.

Analysts quoted by the Times indicate that the decision to “kill” the Galaxy Note 7 was correct in the long term, because if you kept the sale of the phone, the damage to Samsung’s brand would have been irreparable, in particular so important that it has become Samsung in the past five years.
